Crack of dawn early, I rolled out of bed, threw on my gear, ate a piece of toast and sauntered to the gym. It was a perfect morning to actually run outside. Temps cool in the 60s. It’s like I didn’t want to bother. I just wanted to get it done with. So I crawled to the deadmill.
What is wrong with me? Where did my peppy runatude go?
I still clocked 3 miles. Not under my best performance. But I guess every run can’t be great. But ever since the XTERRA Snow Valley 21K Trail Race – I’ve lost my mojo.
Is this normal?
I know one should expect some recovery time. But I haven’t wanted to get back in the [running] saddle all week. However, I have been finding joy in cross-training. Especially with:
Embracing the Ab DOMS. Now if I could just embrace eating clean all the time and maybe I’d have those abs to show.
I know, totally looks like a brand pic
I had an empty Earth Balance Coconut & Peanut Spread jar [yay!]. Whipped up some Deliciousness in this jar.
Mom, why is the Peanut Butter in the fridge? Delish secret – they’ll never know!
And with the frozen bananas and Coconut CHO… I kind of ate some of it last night.
But not to worry, I still had enough to devour this morning!! Yes, I really do eat my oatmeal in the car. At stop signs, at stop lights, in the parking lot… Its a cool skill to have, you know?
Question for You
Am I just experiencing recovery? Have I lost my mojo? Do pray tell your experiences in the comment section below!
