Days off from work are sweet. Even if it does involve a dental visit right smack in the middle of the day.
Breakfast

I obtained some Nature’s Path Organic – Dark Chocolate & Red Berry Granola at Expo West. I thought it was time to try this stuff out in my {Vega Chocolate Protein + PB w/sea salt + almond milk fortified} Coach’s Oats. And it doesn’t disappoint. See, Nature’s Path Organic is actually brilliant. Do you see that little square of chocolate there? on top? When that gets warm from my oatmeal… it melts. And it.is.oh.so.Good.
Workout
Since I am participating in a Mud Run this weekend, I thought it might be wise to add more cardio to my routine this weekend. Not to mention because I will be trudging through sludge {Hank offers this great recap of his first 5K Mud run).

And Alfonso, from Angry Trainer Fitness offered advice to a common question, “If I Train Cardio After Weights Will I Burn More Fat?”
So, I switched up my cardio to post weight train today. Let’s see how it pans out. I think it might be a difficult result to gauge the difference.
/**Dental Appointment**/ <– Nothing exciting.
Done. Off to shop.
Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts

Various craft project stuff. I actually went to pick up a polymer clay kit for the girlie. Of course, I threw in a few items for me. Don’t be surprised if you see them show up in future pics.

There is no reason behind this picture. I just know many women love to oodle and flip through them and desire to buy them all. Am I right??
Oooo… I just noticed that Chocolate magazine. Upper shelf.
Lunch
Mac and I headed off to lunch. We kept ourselves busy downloading Draw Something on the iPhone. He became addicted to it during the lunch hour. haha. Can you guess what we were drawing?

Someone needs some drawing lessons…

I tried the Pacific Coast Salad at Coco’s: kalamata olives, tuna, capers (yum), hard boiled eggs and avocados. served with harvest bread and tomato bisque soup. It was pretty tasty. Mac had a turkey-jack croissant sandwich.
Shopping for the Perfect Tank Top
I read on someone’s awesome blog that Under Armour has the perfect workout Tank Top. So I was ancy to go to the Under-Armour Outlet by our house. I have been on the quest for the perfect Tank Top for awhile. Since then I’ve been wearing my t-shirts. But I get hot in them at the gym.
But the {other} tanks I’ve been finding are either too tight or too big.
Too stiff.
The fabric isn’t right.
Doesn’t fit the boob area right.
Contain some sort of gathers or crazy sewing lines.
May I present the PERFECT workout tank top by Under Armour (and a Dry Fit T-shirt I tossed in the pile)

It gets rid of all the problems listed above and I only spend $52 on all 3! Score. I really didn’t want to buy a pink one because a lot of girls wear pink at the gym. However, I needed one that matched my Pink Nike Frees.
I can’t wait to wear it for my workout tomorrow!
Question
Have you ever been on the quest for the perfect piece of clothing and found it? Please share.

Those drawings are way better than mine!!

And I have that middle dri-fit shirt. I LOVE it! Though, my favorite tanks are the Lululemon cool racerbacks (on my blog today!) but, sadly, you’d only get one for about the price of all those 3.

haha. I’ve seen some on Instagram – they are like art pieces. LOL.
That dri-fit shirt is sweet. And looks good on me. So I hit the jackpot with these tops. Have yet to go in a Lululemon store. But I hear they are quite expensive. Love racerbacks. Checking out the summer must-haves. Love the warmth of the sun…

Thank you!
I swear the only time I find good clothes are when I am not looking. That draw something game is so much fun. I just downloaded it maybe three days ago, I’m a little behind in the game world.

haha. I don’t like shopping. So relying on blogger’s inputs are great. Was nice to go to the store I needed and find what I needed.
Hey, you’re more up on me with draw something. I just downloaded it yesterday! Actually, I’ve been addicted to Temple run.

LOVE UA! It’s probably my absolute favorite brand for workout apparell.
It really is a nice feel. They have all this crazy neon stuff in their store right now. Like these pair of capris running pants that would put the 80s to shame! But the cost of the tanks… way nice, too!

Ohhh! I love those tank tops! Do you have any idea how much $ they are not at the outlets? I don’t think there’s an UA outlet by me…Good luck at the Mud Run this weekend – looking forward to the pics and hearing about it!!

I think I saw them online for $25. Mine said $19. plus I received 10% off on my total w/an in-store promo they had going on. Thanks! Getting nervous about it. Think I am most worried about the cold mud in the morning. Will have hubby take pics.

I actually like doing cardio before weights because otherwise its easy for me to skimp out on it. I always go by the first thing in a workout should be a) what your current training focus is on, b) what you’re more likely to skip out on at the end of the workout, and c) what you need most of your energy to push through.

I feel the same way with doing my cardio in the beginning. comes naturally while I have the energy. but if I notice more of a fat loss at the end… I may learn to sustain enough energy to keep doing it after. haha.
I’m a teacher and for teacher appreciation week my students (or rather their moms) gave me a lulu lemon gift card. The make pretty expensive workout wear and I’m curious to see if it will be “worth it”!
i have not been into a lululemon store yet. but I see some really cute workout tanks on a couple of the girl’s blogs. they are so cute. and one thing you know, you are buying quality. so I think an occasional splurge is good. enjoy shopping!
