I just realized in a few days, I will celebrating Cinco de Mayo with all these lovely ladies at the BLEND retreat. I am so excited! First, I get to meet so many bloggers I admire and follow. Second, I get to spend an awesome weekend checking out Boulder, Colorado (I’ve only ventured into Denver, but here I have quite a treat in store with Boulder).
We will be hiking, exercising, partaking in core yoga and drinking the night away. Okay, its a scheduled cocktail party and I’m thinking it will blend right into the dinner hour.

Speaking of… thank you for the supportive comments on yesterday’s Nutrition is 70% of the equation post. And for your tips and thoughts about maintaining a healthy diet. One thing that is great about going this weekend, I have healthy surrounding me with the BLEND retreat sponsors like Chobani, Larabar, Love Grown Foods, Pure Bliss Eats and More! So exciting!
So, it sounds like the drinking my calories is what I need to keep tabs on – with all these awesome gals.
Best Low-Calorie Drinks
Don’t let the calories slip past you during the Cinco de Mayo celebration. Try these 10 cocktails to keep your waistline in tact.

Michelada with light beer: This spicy beer cocktail, popular in Mexico, is reminiscent of the good ole’ Bloody Mary. Micheladas to cure hangovers or to be enjoyed as a nice cold beer during a hot day. Serve it with light beer for an easy 151 calories per 12 ounce.
Classic Margaritas on the Rocks: Stick to the classics during this fiesta – tequila, triple sec, and lime – on the rocks. 153 calories.
Skinny-Sour Sauzarita: Need a mixed drink to quench your party thirst? Try a Skinny-Sour Sauzarita made with diet soda to keep the calories at bay.
Coffee Liqueur: Steer clear of the designer high-calorie coffee-tinis. And opt for a shot of quality coffee liqueur for a mere 91 calories.
Avion Lemonade: Craving a martini to spice up the party? Replace it with this refreshing Avion Lemonade for just 95 calories.
Red Wine: Instead of drinking a glass of Sangria – which is usually high in sugar – opt for a 5-ounce glass of red wine for only 127 calories.
Corona Light: Grabbing a bottle of Corona light will save you 39 calories over the regular Corona. Add a lime and a dash of salt. Mm-mm good. Wanna save even more calories? Could always grab a Coronita Light. This 7-oz bottle is only 58 calories!
White Wine Spritzer: White wine packs less calories than its rosy counterparts. Mix 3-oz of white wine with club soda a 100 calorie drink.
Low-Carb Mojito: Mojitos are one of my favorite drinks. Check out this recipe for a low-carb mojito riding in at only 100 calories.
Raspberry Arnold Palmer: Even the designated driver likes to enjoy a good non-alcoholic cocktail. Pep up an Arnold Palmer with raspberry iced tea at just 100-calories per drink.

Well, I’m partial to wine, but the lemonad sounds tasty. My hubby would love the mojito. I make a lower-cal strawberry daiquiri by simply blending strawberries with ice, liquid stevia (optional), and vanilla rum.

The lemonade does sound good. Need to go make up that recipe.
Oooo… i like the vanilla rum addition to your strawberry daiquiri. will need to give that a try! Thanks!

I love the idea of the Arnold Palmer! I’ve never had the alcoholic version … but it’s one of my fave non alcoholic bevvies. I would definitely try that!

I only drink craft beers. They tend to be higher in calorie, but I usually only want one, so it all works out. ;o)

I love low calorie cocktails! Red wine is such a treat to me, but I also love cocktails with minimal ingredients, and no fruit juices with all those added sugars. They give me the WORST hangovers!
Amen for Cinco de Mayo!
