My body begs for mercy. But I have none to give.
Day 4… sore, but pushing through. And getting up in the wee early morning hours to work out. Well except for this morning because apparently I was so knocked out that my (seldom-only-when-I-am-really-really-tired) snoring kept my husband up last night. LOL. So, I hit the gym at lunch time.
It was funny, the levels on the life cycle machine I was on, totally corresponded with the levels of intensity I was doing today. Makes it easy for tracking! And I kept a steady 142 – 146 heart rate.
But the end of that interval training was getting tough! I had to start thinking about baseball (I don’t watch baseball) and these men to distract my focus. And while my heart rate increased to 156 (attributed to increased levels or men?
), I pushed through levels 9 & 10 and made it to the end. BooYah!

After lunch, I remembered about this place next to the gym called Something Healthy. No. Ya, that’s its name. It was a cute swanky place decorated in bright green and black with cute chandeliers hanging above. Chalkboards adorned on the wall listing all its yummy menu items.
I, of course, forgot my phone the day I go out . So I took my food back to work. Snagging my friend’s phone to take a pic of my food. Least she didn’t think I was weird.

I had the Vegetarian “Chicken” Walnut Orange wrap served w/a Fuji apple and a green tea iced tea. Was so good! Definitely going back to this place again. They were voted best “vegetarian” in the town 2 years in a row! I’m a happy girl now because I have a new place to feast.
My body may be sore and my mind may be foggy while trying to acclimate to this program, but my senses for healthy food do not disappoint me.
Some of my eats throughout the two days

Ever try to eat Oatmeal in the car while in the driver’s seat? Ya, this was my first time. It’s not so easy! LOL.
But I made it work.

I was craving protein yesterday. This Angus Burger in a wheat bun was So Good topped with pepper jack, avocado, onion, tomatoes. Can you believe that I sauteed a 1/2 of bag of baby organic spinach? It cooked down like way lot! I’m kind of addicted right now to sautéed spinach in evoo and red pepper flakes. I am addicted to the iced coffee with two pumps of classic syrup in the above picture, too.

This was tonight’s dinner. Spinach raviolis and a large spinach salad. Nom Nom.
What food are you “addicted” to? Mine used to be Pretzels and cheese dip.

I’m “addicted” to peanut butter and sweet potatoes, though not necessarily together (even though that combo isn’t bad, actually)
Way to work it in the gym! I was really sore today and had to give the chest and triceps a break.

haha. at first I was like ‘together?”. LOL. it probably work really well together. Than again pb rocks on everything!
Thanks.
I thought it was a good way. I was going to hit the gym this morning… but the body is opting for the afternoon again. As long as I go right. Today is upper body for me.
Keep on Rockin!

OMG. That leg workout looks INSANE!!!! WOW. I used to be completely addicted to pretzels with peanut butter. I think after snacking on that for years, I grew sick of it…now, I find that I am addicted to cheese – mozzarella, american, and gouda are my favorites at the moment =)

I have not decided if the arm or the leg workout is more insane. Being that I am concentrating more on the upper body, I’d have to go with that. And as the week’s go by…. the workouts will get progressively harder and I will get progressively stronger (well, I hope for the latter).
Oooo. pretzels & pb. good combo! Cheese is a good, dangerous one, too. So easy to eat. Especially when I have a good set of crackers and thinly sliced green apple. Nom Nom.

Haha. It definitely helps.
I was totally craving one. But my hubby had the frozen stuff. Not for me! Went and bought some fresh angus burgers. And my daughter raved. Mommy knows best. LOL.

So far, I like the plain and pineapple the best!
I just bought peanut butter with sea salt. Can’t wait to try that stuff (Trader Joe’s). By the spoon is find. haha.
And thank you. Right now, I can’t feel my arms. I am fumbling on the keyboard from the upper body workout I just did.

No, its in the SGV. I WISH we had a place like this. The wrap was really good. And gets extra points for me because it was vegetarian. Nom Nom. There is always Simple Simons, main street downtown Riv. And I keep seeing Eureka Burger in Redlands. Looks like another good eatery. So far and few in the IE.
