Every year I visit Joshua Tree – its my desert rose – just because it makes me feel alive. There is something about the desert that just makes me whole. Maybe its the heat or the bloom of flowers in early April. It reminds me of the frequent car trips my parents made out here when I was a child. I love to visit its vast beauty and hike its trails.
Due to the Thanksgiving season I will be keeping this post light with a picture post. Enjoy the holiday time with your family. Enjoy the hearty food to keep your soul happy. Laugh, Live, and Love couldn’t hold more.
Before I go… anyone have awesome plans for this holiday weekend?
I have been running a couple miles every other day (my running shoes have been awesome – they make me run faster
). My timing is getting better. So this Thursday, I am thinking about doing the Turkey Trot in Claremont (anyone in the area running this race?) before my beck and call to cook up a storm for my family.
And black Friday is out of the question for me! I’m all about Cyber Monday.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday!
Desert (one ‘S’) and Dessert (2 ‘S’ – think ‘Strawberry Shortcake’)
I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand
I dream of rain
I lift my gaze to empty skies above
I close my eyes
This rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of her love
