Oh ya! Look at that sexy farmer’s tan!
We’re back on schedule and running strong!
Song of the Week
As Zombies were chasing me, this song came on during the game. Apparently part of my iTunes library from my yougin’. But it had a great groove for keeping a long run going: f(x) Hot Summer (band from Japan).
Monday: Day off.
Tuesday: Enjoyed the temps before they reached 100 degrees! – 4 miles.
I am starting to notice such a big difference in my runs. In regards to the endurance, the momentum, etc… It’s great. I’m ready for more!
Wednesday: Deadmill in the morning. Ah ya! This was the day the guy turned on the heater in the gym. Would have been one thing if he wanted to sweat it out. But he didn’t work out. Toyed with his iPad. Was it his way of trying to get the gym to himself? I’ll never know. But I only had a mile to go. I finished my run, brushed the event off and went on my merry way – 3.40 miles.
This every happen to you?
Thursday: I was so proud to get this mileage in! And it was a strong run. I can’t wait to book it some more – 6 miles.
Saturday: For some reason, I did NOT want to get out of bed. Melancholy came over me. Hmmm.. So I stayed in bed til 8. Rolled out for some coffee. And somehow was influenced by a Super Soul Series on Oprah Radio with Nate Berkus. It talked about the correlation to weight and clutter. I don’t need to lose physical weight (wouldn’t mind toning though), but mental weight – Yes. I decluttered major! The neighbors probably thought I was a hoarder with all the trash and donations I took out! I should have wore my HR polar to see the calorie burn. My house is so freakin’ light and clean, its floatin’ like clouds. And I love it!
Was in a bittersweet, but smiling mood after that.
Sunday: Went like this…
3 miles to breakfast. Grab coffee. 3 miles with girlfriend. 4 miles after we parted.
Went to breakfast at Panera’s (I was famished!).
Asiago Bagel with Cream Cheese (ate 1/2)
Then finished with…
Panera’s egg white & turkey bowl from their “secret menu”. Told ya, I was seriously hungry!
Later: Stretched my legs really good to help my IT band. Did 5 miles later that evening. No IT band issues. Yay!
(15 miles!) I was still 5 miles short. But I am okay with it. Was a pretty strong run, too. The pace is picking up.
And I am addicted to the Clif Bar Shot Blocks in Citrus! Definitely helps to keep me going while the Zombies are chasing me! Love that game.
Toenails: (I warned you)
(I’ll take a foot massage. Thanks.)
Okay, so I was giving myself a pedicure and noticed, upon taking off my polish, under a few of my toes were black. I thought it was from when the rock tried to trip me at Xterra. But then I noticed it was on both feet! Looked at my Merrill Mix Master Moves, searched DailyMile forum and realized from the seam in the top of the shoe, two things:
1) I think I run with my toes up
2) I’m on my way to losing toenails!
While I don’t mind losing them and they kind of symbolize a badge of honor (heehee), as a girl, I like my toenails!
Have you experienced this?
Total Miles: 28! Woo Hoo! Farthest yet.
Needs to work on: Keeping it up! I’m back baby!
Question for you: What irks you at the gym or do you have a gym etiquette you would like to share?
