This mama needed to spice things up and get her edge back. LOL. A color and cut can totally help bring back a renewed sense of self! This week’s training was mild. but threw in a new workout as part of my cross-training. Duathlon in my future?

This week’s song: It’s been stuck in my head all week. I scouted for the video. Been watching that non-stop. Then I was thinking how I want to participate in Flash Mob of this song. And then, 13 going on 30 came on TV. I don’t get it, but ♫ You know it’s thriller! Thriller night… ♫ (sorry, couldn’t help myself)
Marathon Training Progress
Monday: Break! My body was so.NOT.in.the.mojo.to.run. It was my workout day off anyway.
Tuesday: Ya, I don’t know the term Race Recovery Mode (XTERRA was past Sunday). And I also don’t understand that you’re NOT supposed to run after beers, tacos and margaritas. LOL. My side hurt bad. But I had to get my run in! I only made it on the deadmill – 2 miles.
Wednesday: Race Recover mode. So did not want to run.
Thursday: Race Recover mode. And still didn’t run. Apparently after a 1/2 marathon its not uncommon to take 7-10 days off after a race. Who knew! To me, it was just part of my training schedule. But it must of wiped the mojo from my brain cuz I had no desire to run.
Friday: But that didn’t last long. 3 miles, early morning, on the deadmill watching MTV (finally saw the stuffed animal MUSE video).
Saturday: Cross-Training. 125 yard swim. 2 mile leisurely morning stroll.
Sunday: Was supposed to be an 18 mile run. But you can read about my #favoriterun here. Instead of sulking. I went for a 125 yard swim. Then hit the jacuzzi. All before most peeps were up for the morning. Sweet! – 12.5 miles
Total Miles: 20
Time to step it back up and get serious. Race day will be here before I know it!
